Children have such a willingness to believe in the "impossible", don't they? They just stroll happily through life lost in the wonder of princes and princesses, and fairies, and Santa, the Easter Bunny, and so on. The possibilities are endless, limited only by their imaginations.
But somewhere along the way we lose that fascination with fairy tales and become overwhelmed by the realities of life. Now it's not a good thing for adults to live completely in a fantasy land, but maybe we could find a happy medium. Take a minute every day to look around you for the magic. The miracle. The wonderful things you see even through the veil of the awful.
That's what gratitude is all about! Try it just for today and see what you think. See the world through the eyes of a child and you may just find it looks a whole lot sparklier. :)
